Our Story

Although the only source of water for the home was an old cistern catching rainwater in the backyard, I could not resist buying my 1928 bungalow on an old chicken farm on the outskirts of town. Besides having a wonderful feel, it was loaded with character, such as the beautiful douglas fir floors. We restored it to its former glory, and it still looks great today. But more importantly, it inspired me to create a home that had the character of that one, yet had a floor plan that fit today’s lifestyle better. It’s a new old bungalow.
